Small space, big heart. We pour serious coffee without the fuss.
Espresso and drip pulled from beautifully roasted Stumptown beans.
Bagels from H&H, pastries from Colson Patisserie, all-organic granola made in-house.
Egg bites, avocado toast, and sandwiches on Sullivan Street Bakery bread.
Our corner of the East Village
There's no rush here. Grab your cortado, claim a seat by the window, and watch 1st Street wake up. We've been the East Village's easy-going coffee stop for years, and we like keeping things simple: good beans, warm pastries, friendly faces.

The Lazy Llama is named for the feeling we want you to have the moment you walk in: unhurried, calm, and looked after. In a city that never stops, we're the small corner that does — a place to breathe between the espresso and the errands.
We pour Stumptown coffee, bake our granola and oatmeal in-house with all-organic ingredients, and source our bagels, breads and pastries from beloved NYC bakers like H&H, Sullivan Street Bakery, and Colson Patisserie.
What we believe
We keep the menu tight and the quality high. Every cup is made to order, every pastry chosen because we'd want to eat it ourselves. No assembly line, no shortcuts — just the kind of coffee bar we'd want in our own neighborhood.
We'd love to see you
